Replace
Whole-system changeouts (condenser, coil, furnace or air handler, or a heat pump that does both), sized from a load calculation, tested to the energy code and commissioned with you. Permits are handled on jobs that need them.
Repair
A technician finds the actual failure and puts the repair price in writing before work starts. Common parts are on the truck; if the system is old or the failure is major, you see a replacement option alongside.
Maintain
A measured tune-up (refrigerant charge, capacitor, amperage, temperature split, drain, safety controls) with the readings on a report you keep. Plans available on request.

In San Diego's mild climate a central AC typically lasts 12–17 years. Past 15, efficiency is far behind current SEER2 equipment and a major failure becomes likely.

When the job needs a permit, it's pulled first. Floors protected, old equipment recovered and removed, new system set, connected, evacuated and charged by weight.
