Overview
Two warranties, two different things
Homeowners comparing HVAC contractors often hear the word “warranty” used loosely, as if it’s one thing. It isn’t. Superior Air’s own workmanship warranty covers our installation labor: if something about how the system was installed is the problem, that’s on us. The manufacturer limited parts warranty is a completely separate promise made by the equipment manufacturer, covering defective parts, and its length and exact terms depend on the brand and model installed, and on registering the equipment on time.
Manufacturer limited parts warranty terms, including length of coverage, vary by brand and by the specific equipment installed, and generally require registration with the manufacturer within a set window after installation. Ask your comfort advisor which terms apply to the equipment on your proposal.
